University of Oxford spins off NightstaRx; raises £12mm through its Series A round

Executive Summary

The University of Oxford spun off biotech NightstaRx Ltd. to develop and market retinal dystrophy therapeutics. Concurrent with its formation, Syncona (a subsidiary of the Wellcome Trust) made a £12mm ($19.8mm) investment in NightstarRx's Series A round. Imperial Innovations (the technology transfer arm of Imperial College) also participated.
