Avinger Inc. (produces catheters for patients with peripheral artery disease) has raised $33mm through its Series D venture round. New backers contributed $11mm towards the financing. The company will use the proceeds to expand global sales of its current product lines and to plan clinical studies of upcoming cardiovascular devices. Avinger brought in $22.5mm through its Series C round earlier this year.
