Novavax raises $20mm in PIPE financing

Executive Summary
Novavax Inc. (develops drug delivery platforms for women's health and infectious disease therapeutics) has grossed approximately $20mm through a private placement, selling about 4.6mm common shares to new backer Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which bought $12.5mm (62.5%), and existing investor Prospect Venture Partners, which purchased $7.5mm. The shares were priced at $4.35 each, a 5% discount to the market average.
