Executive Summary
PPD has agreed to acquire virtually all the biomarker assets of SurroMed in exchange for relinquishing the SurroMed preferred shares it owns, assuming $3.4mm in capital lease liabilities and certain other operating liabilities, and guaranteeing a portion of SurroMed's bank loan up to $1.5mm.
