The US specialty pharmaceutical company Cobalis has appointed Martin Marion CEO. Mr Marion served as Cobalis's chief marketing officer between 2003 and 2006 and was a consultant to the company ahead of the launch of its OTC pre-histamine product PreHistin. Mr Marion will oversee the accelerated marketing of PreHistin and the coordination of Cobalis's other revenue-generating programmes. He has previously served as director of business development for Grey Advertising/ Grey Direct and vice-president of strategic planning and business development for DMB&B's healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing division Medicus.

A new five-in-one combination vaccine, which will protect children in Bangladesh for the first time against Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), has been launched there.
