Shionogi Shifts Sales Focus To Crestor

Japan's Shionogi plans to step up its promotions in hospitals to create an 83 percent increase in domestic sales of its Crestor (rosuvastatin) cholesterol drug by next March. The company said it would train some of its 1,450 medical representatives to promote use of the drug in hospitals instead of only to clinics, and to track the frequency with which it is prescribed.
