Canadian medtech industry association MEDEC has appointed Baxter Corporation general manager Barbara Leavitt as the new chair of its board of directors. Ms Leavitt has over 25 years of experience in the Canadian healthcare industry. In her current role she is responsible for Baxter's commercial operations in Canada as well as strategic initiatives for Latin America and Canada.
