EU consultation for IVD Directive revision set for launch in "coming days"

The European Commission will launch in the “coming days” a public consultation on the revision of the in vitro diagnostic directive (Directive 98/79/EC) that will invite comments from stakeholders by 19 September1,2. A formal proposal to revise the IVD framework is expected to follow in 2011, a commission spokesperson told RAJ Devices.
