The UK BioIndustry Association has appointed Nigel Gaymond as its new chief executive, effective January 2010. Mr Gaymond, currently president of life sciences consultancy Gaymond International, has worked in a variety of roles in the life sciences sector for more than 20 years; his experience includes assisting UK biotechnology and healthcare exports as head of the commercial department at the British Consulate-General in Boston, US.
