Turkish Imported Drugs Fight Grows As Inquiry Launched

This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

The number of drugs that are not available in Turkey has increased in recent years and importing these has become the only option for patients, with the Turkish Pharmacists’ Association currently the only group authorized by the government to do so. The association has scored one legal victory against a challenge to its position but the Competition Authority has now launched an inquiry against its “monopoly” after complaints by some distributors.
