Established in 1991 as a data management company, EPS has become one of the two top-tier contract research organizations in Japan. Founded by Dr. Hao Yan, EPS is now a First Section-listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and one of only two foreign-established First Section-listed companies in 60 years of TSE history. When the company was founded, Yan was a Chinese graduate student majoring in medical statistics at the University of Tokyo.
