Taiwan's government has negotiated with Swiss drug maker Novartis to provide another 5 million doses of its H1N1 flu vaccine. Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center also has bought more than 2 million courses of antivirals from foreign drug makers to add to its stockpile for treating the flu.
