Kirin Pharma And Eisai Former Execs On JPMA Support Center Team

Executive Summary

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer's Association June 3 established a support center for not-yet-approved drugs. The center consists of 12 personnel, with Takaku Fumimaro, Jiji Medical University president, serving as president of the support center, and four board directors including former Kirin Pharma President Asano Tatsuhiko. Former Eisai auditor Eda Shinobu is one of the two auditors. The center will take financial and business measures to speed up the approval process for four drugs that are not yet approved in Japan.
