Hutchison Baiyunshan To Hand Out Medicine Coupons

Amid the financial crisis, billionaire Li Ka-shing's Hutchison Whampoa Guangzhou Baiyunshan Chinese Medicine will issue 6 million medicine coupons worth RMB 30 million nationwide to alleviate the burden of drug expenses for people in China. Consumers can get coupons with a face value of RMB 10-20 to purchase designated Hutchison Baiyunshan-made drugs. This is the first coupon distribution program targeting branded-drug consumption in the country. The exercise will allow the company to promote its products, capture funds, as well as benefit users.
