Tomato Good Carrier For Alzheimer’s Vaccine -  Korea Study

South Korean scientists say they have found that injecting tomatoes with a vaccine to prevent Alzheimer's disease is an effective preventative. Experiments using mice showed that when the gene of a beta-amyloid protein was injected into the genome of a tomato, it led to an effective immune response in the animals. The Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology researchers said the tomato proved to be a suitable carrier for the vaccine. The beta-amyloid is believed to be the cause of Alzheimer's.
