Executive Summary
China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines & Health Products Importers & Exporters and market research firm IMS have jointly released an analytical report on the health care industry in China and the world (2007-2008). The report says that China's health care standards are rising rapidly on the global front, particularly in four areas: 1) international market access-more than 900 local firms exported western medicines and preparations in the first 10 months of 2007; 2) international outsourcing business-China now undertakes the third biggest number of clinical trials in Asia; 3) international market expansion with overseas listing; and 4) awareness of intellectual property rights, which has improved greatly.
