Sobi Appoints Ex-Nycomed CEO As Chair

Executive Summary

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB's (Sobi) board chair, Bo Jesper Hansen, will not be standing for re-election at the 2016 general meeting of shareholders. Hansen has been chair since the merger of Biovitrum and Sobi in 2010. Former CEO of Nycomed, Håkan Björklund, will be proposed as the new chair for the company. Currently he is industry executive at Avista Capital Partners and previously served as a board member for various life science companies including Alere, Coloplast, Danisco, and Lundbeck.
