The UK BioIndustry Association's(BIA) lifetime achievement award for 2009 was presented to Rolf Stahel at the BIA's gala dinner at the end of last week. Mr Stahel built up Shire Pharmaceuticalsthrough a series of mergers and acquisitions. Since leaving, he has been chairman and mentor for a series of biotech companies.
