Acucela Appoints Executive VP, Legal Affairs

Acucela Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel drug candidates to treat and slow the progression of sight-threatening ophthalmic diseases, has hired Dr. George Lasezkay as executive vice-president of legal affairs – effective from Aug. 24. Lasezkay will head up Acucela's legal team and be the primary legal advisor to CEO Ryo Kubota and the rest of the executive team.
