As its interim CEO Glyn Edwards accepts a third leadership position in industry in less than a year, the BIA is poised to announce a permanent leader after nearly six months in limbo. Mr Edwards, who today was unveiled as the new CEO of UK iminosugar specialist Summit (scripintelligence.com, 4 April 2012), told Scrip that the board and executive committee of the UK's BioIndustry Association (BIA) would be meeting shortly to decide on one of two broad alternatives after having received a variety of applications for its CEO position.
