Executive Summary
Janssen Research & Development, part of Johnson & Johnson, has officially opened a 30,000sq ft (3000 m2) life science innovation centre – known as Janssen Labs at San Diego – within the company’s West Coast Research Center to help foster more startups. The aim is to rent lab space and provide bundled services overseen by professional facilities management, thus making the whole process of setting up shop quick and manageable, while at the same time making sure the corporate arm of J&J stays on the sidelines.
