Human Genome Sciences has appointed Craig Parker senior vice-president of strategy and corporate development, reporting to H Thomas Watkins, the company's president and CEO. He will also serve as a member of HGS' management committee. Prior to joining HGS, Mr Parker most recently served as CEO of Vega Therapeutics, a biotech start-up which he co-founded.
