Pharmacy sales in Ukraine increased by 23% to Hr4.9 billion in the first quarter of this year, but in US dollars they fell by 19% to $630.8 million, compared with growth of almost 41% in the same period of 2008. Pharmacies sold 426.1 million units (-16%), according to Pharmstandard, part of the Kiev-based company Morion, the publisher of Apteka weekly.
