The 10-SKU Abba line, which includes shampoos, conditioners and styling and treatment products, had sales of around $10.5 mil. in 1996, according to Styling Technology. Founded in 1995, Phoenix, Ariz.-based Styling Technology has purchased four salon products companies in the past year, including tanning and body care manufacturer Body Drench, and two salon tool companies. The firm said it plans to continue its acquisition spree in order to expand product offerings and become a "one-stop" shop for salon distributors.
