The National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements and National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine have appointed new directors. National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases Office of Nutrition Research Coordination Deputy Director Paul Coates, PhD, will head ODS beginning Oct. 25. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Laboratory of Clinical Investigation Chief Stephen Straus, MD, took the NCCAM helm Oct. 6.

Bernadette Marriott, PhD, leaves the director position Jan. 8 to join Northern Arizona University as vice provost for research and graduate studies and dean of the graduate school, starting Feb. 1.
