Needle-free system as good as pen-injection:

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Rosch says that data is now available to show that its needle-free injector system, INJEX, is comparable to pen-injection systems for delivering insulin to diabetics. In a study by a team from the Medical University Clinic of Bergmannsheil, Bochum, Germany, doctors assessed both types of insulin administration systems in 10 patients. No statistically significant differences could be found between the systems with regard to blood sugar and insulin kinetic measurements. Rosch of Berlin, Germany, says its product was also found to be less painful and cause less irritation of the skin compared with pen-injection systems.
