Orbus Medical Technologies has CE-marked for sale in Europe its 2.0mm and 2.25mm diameter stents, which are designed to minimise trauma in small vessels. The R stent small vessel system is available in lengths of 7, 10, 13, 15, and 18mm. A wider selection of stent lengths, says the firm, allows exact stent to lesion sizing and thus minimises the length of the stent needed to treat lesions in small vessels. Other companies offer no more than three lengths below 20mm in these diameters, claims the Fort Lauderdale, Florida company, which already markets the device in diameters of 2.5-4mm.
