Blood analysis equipment maker Immucor has sold its stake in Lionheart Technologies for about $1.3m. It was bought by Lionheart, the owner of Bio-Tek Instruments, one of Immucor's development and manufacturing partners. Winooski, Vermont-based Bio-Tek manufactures Immucor's ABS2000 automated blood bank laboratory analyser, and is developing a third-generation automated assay instrument for small to medium-sized hospitals. Bio-Tek's vice-president of business development, Adam Alpert, said the company "anticipate[d] no changes in this relationship as a consequence of the stock sale".
