Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based Cynosure has named David Mackie as vice-president of operations. He will be responsible for managing all manufacturing and technical operations. Mr Mackie joined the firm - which develops laser technologies for medical procedures such as the treatment of vascular lesions and surgical ENT applications - in April 2004 from Alcatel Communications, where he served as senior director of operations.
