Executive Summary
Sen. Robert Dole (R-Kan.) reintroduces legislation (S 176) intended to reduce fraud and waste in the reimbursement of durable medical equipment and modify coverage policies for certain types of DME. Similar legislation (H.R. 21) was introduced on the House side by Rep. Dan Rostenkowski (D-Ill.) on Jan. 5 ("The Gray Sheet" Jan. 18, In Brief).
