Concurrent with its own creation, Inception Sciences Inc., a drug discovery incubator, has spun off its first company, Inception 1 Inc., to develop small molecules for neurodegenerative diseases. Inception 1 has received $5mm in its initial round of financing from Versant Ventures and one undisclosed investor.
