Executive Summary
New investor Polaris Venture Partners led a $15mm Series C financing for I-Therapeutix and contributed a new board member to the company, which uses hydrogel technology to create surgical sealants for wounds on the eye. Returning backers Versant Ventures and SV Life Sciences also participated. The proceeds will go towards US marketing of I-Zip, a synthetic bandage used during ocular surgery, and developing sustained-release ophthalmic drug delivery devices.
