Executive Summary
Looking to bring in some novel technology to apply to its infectious disease pipeline and possibly extend the lives of its marketed antibacterials, GlaxoSmithKline has agreed to team up with biotech Mpex Pharmaceuticals to use the latter's expertise in antibiotic drug resistance with efflux pump inhibitors (EPIs).
