Executive Summary
Alba Therapeutics (develops drugs and drug delivery adjuvants based on the zonulin pathway) raised $30mm in its Series A financing led by SV Life Sciences and Alta Partners. Other new investors HealthCap, Red Abbey Venture Partners, and the Maryland Venture Fund were joined by returning backers Esperance BioVentures, Astellas Ventures, Maryland TEDCO, and Townsend Capital.
