Executive Summary
Abiomed (manufactures cardiovascular products) has agreed to acquire Impella CardioSystems (manufactures and markets blood pumps) for about 4mm common shares (valued at $43.8mm) and $1.8mm in cash, plus earn-outs that total up to $29mm (of which no more than $15mm will be paid in stock).
