Elixir Pharmaceuticals (drugs to slow the aging process) has raised $17mm with a private placement of Series B shares to lead investors Arch Venture Partners, MPM Capital, and Oxford Bioscience Partners. Other existing investors also participated. With the second tranche, the company brought in another $19mm, for a total of $40.5mm.
