Executive Summary
CancerVax (develops cancer therapeutics) raised approximately $55mm through a second round private placement of preferred stock. Lead investors Athenian Venture Partners were joined in the round by new investors JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, WestLB Asset Management, Schroder Ventures Life Sciences, CDIB BioScience Ventures, Windamere Venture Partners, GE Capital, and Endpoint Late Stage Fund.
