Siblings Lucia and Alberto Giovanni Aleotti, respectively president and vice-president of Italian pharmaceutical company Menarini, have been sentenced for tax fraud by a court in Florence. Lucia Aleotti has resigned from the board of Farmindustria, Italy’s industry association, but its president Massimo Scaccabarozzi declared his expectation that they would be cleared on appeal.
