European Commission moves devices website
This article was originally published in RAJ Devices
The European Commission's medical devices website has now moved to the "Consumer Affairs" web pages of DG Health and Consumers (DG SANCO)1. It has been transferred from DG Enterprise and Industry, where the medical devices unit resided until the end of last year, before being transferred to DG SANCO, whose new commissioner is John Dalli2.
The basic information and appearance of the site is similar to how it appeared when based with DG Enterprise and Industry. However, there are close links to broader health and consumer affairs subject areas, as would be expected. These are gathered under the following titles: strategy and programmes; safety; rights; enforcement; redress; consumer empowerment; and cosmetics.
There are also specific links for news, events, contracts and grants, publications and public consultations.
