The European Heads of Medicines Agencies, in framing its 2011-2015 strategy, is considering whether there is a place for medical devices regulation in the European medicines network over the next five years1-3. As things stand, the HMA believes that "there should be closer engagement of the HMA group in considering medical devices strategy".
