James Mazzo takes on AdvaMed chair

US medical device industry association AdvaMed has appointed James Mazzo as the new chair of its board of directors. Mr Mazzo is president of Abbott Medical Optics; he will serve a two-year term, succeeding Edwards Lifesciences’ chairman and chief executive Michael Mussallem, who has chaired AdvaMed since 2008.
