Executive Summary
Bronwyn Evans has been elected chair of the Medical Technology Association of Australia. Dr Evans, who is senior vice president, quality and regulatory, at Cochlear Limited, was elected at the MTAA’s board meeting on 8 December; she replaces Simon Hearne, who stepped down as chair after accepting an overseas posting from his company, 3M.

EuropaBio appoints new chairman
EuropaBio, the European biotech industry association, has appointed Stephan Tanda as its new association chair. Mr Tanda, a member of the managing board of life sciences and materials sciences firm DSM, succeeds GlaxoSmithKline's Andrea Rappagliosi, who will remain a member of the EuropaBio board.
