Jürgen Schulze to be next EDMA president

Executive Summary
Jürgen Schulze has been chosen as the next president of the European Diagnostic Manufacturers’ Association. Dr Schulze, who has headed Sysmex Deutschland since 1995, is also chairman of the German diagnostic manufacturers’ association, the VDGH, which he has represented at EDMA level since 2003; he has been a member of the EDMA’s executive committee since 2005, most recently as one of two vice presidents. Dr Schulze takes over from outgoing president Jean-François de Lavison.

EuropaBio appoints new chairman
EuropaBio, the European biotech industry association, has appointed Stephan Tanda as its new association chair. Mr Tanda, a member of the managing board of life sciences and materials sciences firm DSM, succeeds GlaxoSmithKline's Andrea Rappagliosi, who will remain a member of the EuropaBio board.
