US consults on gene patents/licensing practices and patient access

A US Department of Health and Human Services task force has issued for consultation a draft report in which it concludes that it is difficult to gauge the impact of gene patents on patient access to diagnostic tests, identifies areas of concern on the matter and suggests policy options1.
