Executive Summary
The European Society of Human Genetics has issued draft recommendations on the regulation of genetic testing for common disorders1. It expresses concern that the existing European regulation does not contribute towards assessing the clinical validity and utility of genetic tests (for such disorders), most of which are regulated as in vitro diagnostics.
