Executive Summary
Sheldon Bradshaw has left his job as associate general counsel/ chief counsel of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to join law firm Hunton & Williams. He will be a partner of the firm and co-chair of its Food and Drug Practice. Jeffrey Senger, the current deputy associate general counsel, has become acting associate general counsel until a permanent replacement is appointed. The US Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) has appointed Thomas C Novelli to be its new director of federal affairs. Mr Novelli previously served on the US Senate Committee on Finance, working on drug and device safety and approval, reimbursement and fraud and abuse within the Medicare and Medicaid programmes, among other things.
