Turkish Hospitals Scrabble To Procure Oncology Drugs

As the date nears for oncology hospitals in Turkey, rather than pharmacies, to start providing chemotherapy drugs to patients, efforts are intensifying to procure supplies. The Ministry of Health has laid out guidelines for these efforts including tenders and direct purchases through bargaining, and is also working on measures to reduce pharmacists’ loss of revenue. But pharmacists continue to fight the change vigorously.
