Most of these cases are in China and India, while the national prevalence of type 2 diabetes has also increased two-fold or more in many Asian countries, according to data gathered for the 10th International Diabetes Federation-Western Pacific Region held jointly with the 6th Asian Association for the Study of Diabetes in Singapore in late November.
