India’s major advancement in developing vaccines and producing 60% of those available around the globe has not been felt in the most remote parts of the nation, its science minister told a conference.
Ashwani Kumar, minister of state for Science and Technology, and Earth Sciences, said that although India’s vaccine industry produces the drugs at a low price, the nation’s delivery system hinders them from reaching much of the poor.
