Shionogi To Launch Research Support Subsidiary

Shionogi will launch a clinical research support company, Techno Advance Research, in Japan in September to strengthen pharmacological and safety evaluation for new drug development. The wholly owned subsidiary will have a staff of 50. Starting this year, Shionogi begins implementing its third mid-term business strategy, which calls for an enhanced research system to enable continuous discovery of new chemical compounds.
